Here’s a short series of shots of a chipmunk chowing down on some rose hips. This little guy had his own little hole right in here amongst these wild roses. It must seem like manna from heaven when these fruits start to drop. Of course, I’m ignoring the basic fact that chipmunks are very capable climbers and that, quite possibly, this guy maybe even clipped these rose hips so they fell to the ground next to his burrow.
Yes, I’m aware that these last two shots are quite similar to each other, but they’re both good shots, (okay, some vanity at work here), and I couldn’t pick between them. Besides, I really didn’t think anyone would complain about another pic of such a charming-looking rodent.
These are so cute and he’s enjoying his meal so much that I want to look up a recipe to make rosehips so I can pretend to be a chipmunk. 🙂 Adorable! And the last two are DISTINCTLY different — I appreciate that animal nuance from someone who regularly snaps bunches of pictures of mice and dogs seeking just the right one. 😉
He is adorable. The photos made me smile and turned an otherwise awful day around.
