That is one stately looking gull. He reminds me of a particular old stogy British actor whose name escapes me but whose face…..well, whose face looks like that gull’s! 😉

He played Mycroft Holmes in a few of the PBS series starring Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes. This gull should be named Mycroft.
Okay, so I had to look him up. You are talking about Charles Gray. I never saw PBS’s The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, but I have seen him play Blofeld in two Bond flicks, Sean Connery ones. He was also the Criminologist in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. And, yes, this gull bears a resemblance to Charles Gray, especially around the eye. JK.
