Actually, Skimmers are in the same family as Oystercatchers and Terns. And gulls, for that matter. I find it interesting that the Skimmers, Oystercatchers, and most Terns have same or similar coloration of their bills. JK.
That’s neat. They would make a great family portrait if the extended group got together.
This Skimmer pair is pretty darn cute! I’d go for a stuffed toy version of them in a flash! 🙂
