This is a female Northern Cardinal that I saw at Morton Refuge in Sag Harbor. Morton is known for the several species of birds that will take and eat bird seed from your hand. Cardinals do not engage in this activity but they will hang around hoping and waiting for any dropped seeds. This lovely lady may be trying to will me into being careless or clumsy.  JK.
