Not much to say here. These are just a pair of pics of a Piping Plover fluffing out its feathers after having gotten them a bit damp after foraging in the surf. Perhaps not its most presentable moments, but, heck, who looks good after getting out of the shower? JK.

Great photo. They are rare out here, but we had a pair that returned each year to a beach in Chicago. One came from Texas and the other from Florida. They became celebrities . Now we have a new pair and a hatchling .
