  1. Thanks, Bill. Long time no see. Too long. My own first sighting of a Green Heron may have been at David Weld Sanctuary in Nissequogue. A pair of them nested at Frank Melville this year and raise three chicks. They can still be sighted on most days at Frank Melville Park in Setauket. JK.

  2. Oh my goodness! He’s so CUTE! With the fuzzy hair and his serious look of, “Damn, I shouldn’t have let this air dry,” he makes me smile! Maybe he’s Raoul’s son. He looks like he should be one of the Marx Brothers. 🙂 They are my favorite herons! GREAT picture!

  3. Thanks Michele. Those herons speak well of you as well. This shot was taken at Frank Melville Park in Setauket. They are very dog friendly over there. You should bring some of the hounds. JK.
