Here’s two different crops of a photo I took of a Mute Swan. This handsome beast was swimming with its mate in Stony Brook Harbor. He appears to be giving me the once-over. Or maybe he’s looking for a handout. I ain’t got nothing for you but this camera, friend. JK

Nice shot! Have we heard anything more about the DEC’s Mute Swan plan? Our little Environmental Club got a bunch of signatures on petitions and we mailed them in during the public comment period; I hope the swans won!
Things are not looking good for the Mute Swans. I don’t know the most current details but the DEC seems committed to the eradicating all Mute Swans. I wish I had better news for you guys. JK.
