This perhaps not-so-spectacular diminutive bird is a molting Carolina Wren. Now, in most circumstances, this feisty little bird would appear to be quite beautiful. And, actually, this guy is still a looker, just so long as you don’t look too closely. And, as evidenced in the photo below, this guy is still convinced that he’s Prom King material. Despite his ragged looks, he is still singing his song. JK

Boy, he looks like he just ran a marathon. My fat little chestnut Carolina wrens over here look at least a third bigger. I guess that’s what feathers can do!
Feathers certainly do a lot but this guy still has plenty of spunk in him. Just look at him singing his heart out. JK.
Well, if he were a dog, you know who’d adopt him. 😉
As if your house wasn’t crowded enough. Not to mention what the hounds would make of this little guy, spunky or not. JK.
