This is one of two fawns that were wandering through the yard last Friday morning with their mother in tow. It is a real pleasure (and privilege) for me to see these things. As Long Island becomes more “developed” these sights are increasingly rare. I could do a lot of grumbling here but lets just enjoy the pretty pictures. JK

You got me all wrong, Robin. This guy is beautiful. I got to watch this one and his brother/sister grow up last summer. This one was much braver than his twin. One of the two may very well be the same day-old fawn that I posted a pic of on July 28, 2008. I’ll put the link below in case you want to check it out. JK
