What a pretty bird! That is a perfect shot — and one I’m sure the nature sites would love to display! Are these sparrows common? I don’t know if I’ve ever seen one.
I don’t know the habits of Fox Sparrows – this is only the second time I’ve ever photographed one – but both times were during winter. They are not dissimilar to Song Sparrows but when you’ve seen one, you know it’s a bird apart. With that chest, they always make me think of Thrushes. JK
