  1. Very psychedelic!
Are these actually ON a turkey — or did you find a collection of feathers?
    You’re getting almost artsy, Sir!

  2. Dear lady,
Yes, these feathers were on a real live male Wild Turkey. Honest. The toms are quite colorful when viewed in direct sunlight. JK.

  3. And were you having tea with him to get that close or do you have a lens that can photograph the craters on the moon??? That is a super shot!

  4. Thanks for the birdseed at the refuge today!! I had an awesome time out there on my first visit, appreciate you taking the time to point out the birds too. I got a few good pics of the turkeys, took your advice about waiting for the sun to hit em! I only have em posted em on Instagram but I’ll drop a link if you wanna see the results!

  5. Michele, this turkey wasn’t on the moon. 🙂 Actually, this photo was taken at Morton Refuge in Sag Harbor. The turkeys there are less shy than most. JK.

  6. Katie, thanks for dropping in. It was my pleasure to meet you and share my sunflower seeds. I should warn you: Morton can be addictive. 🙂 JK.
