Actually, this seemed to be a better year than most for butterflies in general and Monarchs in particular. Avalon was spectacular. There was even a stretch of path that I referred to as ‘Monarch Central’. JK.
Oh, that’s good to know. I don’t see them much. I have mostly seen the black swallowtails. One even landed on Alan (briefly). But hardly any monarchs.
