This is, perhaps, one last Yellow Warbler pic for the year. I have been very lucky with Yellow Warblers this spring and summer. I’m not really sure why, other than to say I found a sweet spot for them. That spot was in one of the upper fields at Avalon Preserve in Stony Brook. These beautiful birds have also found a sweet spot in my heart. For years, Oystercatchers have been my favorite birds to shoot, with Green Herons coming in as a close second. However, these little beauties are catching up, and in a big way. JK.

He looks very happy belting out his song! Goldfinches are my favorite, but these guys are close with their sunshine feathers. You’ve caught his majestic streaks and his bright eye and in such a crisp way! VERY nice job!
