Actually, our friend Luci thinks this may be a juvenile Song Sparrow, although she could not be fully confident. So, yes, it is quite likely that this is/was a spring chick. And as for swallowing sunshine, I hope he had some Tums handy. I keep them in my truck because that “glowing inside” me feeling isn’t always very comfortable. 🙂 JK.
I think he can make some comforting tea out of the sumac — at least according to Sue K.! 😉
