A White-throated Sparrow at Morton Refuge

This is a White-throated Sparrow I found at Morton Refuge in Sag Harbor. I really, really like these guys. Not only are they my favorite sparrows but they are also amongst my favorite birds period. Some folks love their song, and while that song is nice, it’s the birds themselves that hold my interest. JK

Here are two more photos of the Turkey Vulture that was featured earlier this week. When I first spied this guy he was circling over my love life. Eventually, he settled down and perched in a nearby tree. After a better look, he decided that it was too dead for even him and flew off. JK
