This is a White-breasted Nuthatch that I saw at Morton Wildlife Refuge in Noyack, NY, which is just out side Sag Harbor. I got pretty lucky with this shot because these birds don’t sit very still for long. They are very active among the tree limbs and trunks, looking for insects. I managed to capture this guy while he was checking me out. Below is a closeup of this little guy’s head. You can really see its feathers quite clearly. JK
