Sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel can be quite colorful. This is the view from Stewart Brook as it passes beneath a road somewhere between Second Lake and Lake Luzerne.
These were taken about two weeks ago on the return leg of a trek that started out at Lake Luzerne. I was in the Adirondacks for a few days of vacation and kayaking. Sometimes my vacations are more work than my job. I have to admit that the scenery was much better. The weather rocked – sunny skies and mild temperatures – and Autumn’s colors were very near their peak. Every vacation should be like this. JK.
